HELLO Ü
My name is KAY + I am a THRIFTAHOLIC

I am beyond excited and happy to introduce myself, the woman + face behind the blog! I identify as a total loner who loves coffee, music, thrifting, interior design and fashion. I am a 27 year old Canadian living in a small city just north of Toronto. I was born and raised in the small city I live in but have big dreams of moving to the big city one day. I am blessed to be very happily in love with my high school sweetheart, Kyle. We recently celebrated our ten year anniversary this past September with everyone we love in the backyard of our tiny old home we call the cozy cottage. We share our home with our big old Brazilian mastiff rescue, Sampson. As a small family of 3 we try to live our lives simply and with as much respect for the environment as possible.

At a young age my mom instilled in my siblings and I a huge love and appreciation of historic buildings and buying second hand. In 1999 she and my dad moved us from a cookie cutter 90’s built home to an old unkept victorian home built in 1906. It was cozy, small and full of character. Growing up there I grew a huge appreciation for homes with character and history. As a kid I was obsessed with secondhand clothing- environmentally friendly and so much fun to sift through and find something no one you knew had. At a very young age I had a strong inclination to do my part to help the environment and have the smallest foot print possible. I have carried that same mission into adulthood and I think my young self would be very proud how far I have come.

Fast forward to the present and I am finally doing what I truly love: selling like minded people the second hand goods I’ve found along my thrifting travels. Nothing in the world makes me feel better than seeing someone truly feel good in the items I’ve sold them. Fashion should be an extension of ourselves and I am here to hopefully help you find that item you did or didn’t know you NEEDED in your life. All items sold will be second hand on instagram @lifeofathriftaholic - paypal is our only method of payment accepted.
